Ron Bogdan's Yearbook (Finally Found)

Back in the mid 80’s a flood occurred at my father’s office in Hightstown NJ due to a summer hurricane that affected the Northeast USA.

When sorting through the mildewed waste of the cardboard boxes I stored in his basement which included old greeting cards, pictures of family and old girlfriends to my horror I discovered my destroyed yearbook. In the garbage it went. I accepted the loss with great despair.

In the late nineties with the evolution of the internet, and search engines I started to search for a replacement for my book figuring maybe there was a copy of that Willingboro HS yearbook somewhere some place. It was a long shot and I knew it at the time. I have been continually searching for that book from then to now.

However I made one big discovery in the process of looking for my yearbook. While mine was not available, other yearbooks from other years and schools from all over the USA were findable and buyable. I said to myself “ Ron, you are not unique. If you want your yearbook that badly other people in other areas must also yearn for their books just as badly and maybe even more than you want your book”. This was the start of a new method of thinking for me. After all I knew that I would pay 100.00 if someone could find me the replacement for my own.

This was the start of a new method of thinking for me. Now I was searching for my own book but also being mindful of the other books I would find and I started to one by one purchase them. I bought inline, and later flea markets, and later through storage locker auctions, and regular auctions. I then started to be in contact with people who do home cleanouts and then estate sales people.

I have opened a network of people whom I search from, who now know to contact me as new books become available which they do, all the time.

In any event I continued to make purchases and my inventory went from 10 books to 30 to 80 to what I now think numbers about 200. I buy and sell all the time. I decided though about 6 months ago to start a new phase to my business in which I would take “wish list” registrations from people whom sought their books who were starting to hear about me and my ability to search and in some cases find books for people.

That is the point we are at now. I have developed this site with the knowledge and expertise of my business partners from Rapid Response Computer Service of Robbinsville NJ.

I recently FOUND my book, the Holy Grail. It is this dogged determination that has finally paid off for me. During this extended search period over the years I have found books for numerous people, many of which were reduced to tears upon hearing I had found their book for them.

Even though I found my book, I have decided to continue the “journey”. I have found a win-win-win scenario and even though it was based upon the simple premise of finding my book, I like the win-win-win scenario. The buyer who sells it to me is pleased, I enjoy what I do, and the buyer is in most every case ecstatic, so the journey continues……

If you question why you should seek my help and its worth read the section on “Why I should register”.
